3D Games Production (week six) - Friday

Today, I wanted to analyse my assets, especially the meshes/models.

I checked the silhouette for my work to see how strong it would hold up in terms of form.

Also taking into account what assets were to be reused in order to make my work flow easier.

This included beams, even when unwrapping UVs, I made sure to unwrap one, I also took some and put a bend modifier on them, as the UVs would stay the same, barely effecting the texture.

However, one constraint I ran into while modelling my building was the tiles. I had to leave 2 of the rooves flat, I made the bottom tiles extruded to add more depth, but because of the tricount I decided to only do 1 full roof fully tiled. My logic behind this was, if I were to take beauty shots in UE4, you would be looking at this one, mainly at eye level, whereas the other 2 would be mainly obscured and some tiles out of view, therefore not affecting the design decision that much.
