3D Games Production - week three self directed

 


Today I did some UV unwrap experimentation. I tried to ensure I could fill up as much as the space in the template as possible.

I marked the relevant seam - one that would be out of view for the player/audience, then I tried to scale and expand everything to cover as much as the texture as possible.

The thing I struggled with mostly was trying to fill gaps without distorting the shapes for the texture.

For example, the triangular examples could fit perfectly side by side if the distortion did not occur.
