Today I experimented with finalising my chest design and UVs.
One thing I found difficult when exporting the UVs was making sure there was enough padding and space between objects, this was to make sure I could get rid of the pixelated edges by painting/drawing outside of the UV boundary, whether it was for shadow or edge highlights. To ensure that each panel was joined up correctly.
I will overcome this in the future by rectifying my UVs and experimenting with different peel and unwrap modes, making planars and doing auto aligns on all objects in the scene.
I wanted to try something different compared to the normal treasure chest, so I went with a sci-fi theme in order to test myself.
